Capsid

What is a capsid? Is it found in a viruses or bacteria or both?

It is the outer shell of a virus. It is found on viruses. It surrounds the genetic material.

A capsid is the protein shell of a virus. Capsids are broadly classified according to their structure. It is found in both a virus and a bacteria.

The capsid is the protein shell of a virus. This is found in viruses. I don't think it's found in bacteria.

A capsid is a coiled or polyhedral structure. It is composed of proteins, that encloses the nucleic acid of a virus. Its a protein shell.
