Bacteria mus be present in every case of the disease. Bacteria must be isolated from the host with the disease and grow in pure culture. The specific disease must be reproduced when a pure culture of the bacteria inoculated into a healthy susceptible host. Bacteria must be recovered from the experimentally infected host.

A technique for diagnosing the cause of an infection. There is four steps that you take to try to get the pathogen out, including figuring out if it is gram-positive or negative. The scientists isolate the bacteria and figure out which one it causes.

Koch;s Postulate is a four-step procedure. Its to establish a causal relationship between a causative microbe and a disease. Koch applied the postulates to establish the etiology of anthrax and tuberculosis. But they have been generalized to other diseases.
