Chagas disease is caused by the protist Trypanosoma cruzi. It is spread by the kissing bug and causes heart disease. It also causes heart failure, abnormal heart rate and enlargement of esophagus and large intestine.

Chagas disease is a tropical parasitic disease caused by the flagellate protozoan.
The disease can be spread through blood tranfusion, ingestion of food, from a mother to her fetus, or an organ translplant. You can get heart disease or malfuciton of instetanes.
