What's the diff

What is the difference between the origin and insertion of a muscle?

They can have the same thing in the diagram. Inision and Insertion can also be different to other bones in the body.

The origin of the muscle is where it begins and attaches. The insertion is where it attaches at the opposite end. They both are attachment points but they attach at opposite points.

The origin is where the muscle begins. The insertion point is where it ends or what it is attatched to. They are basically opposite of each other.
