Chagas Disease. It is caused by the kissing bug. It causes heart disease, heart failure, abnormal heartrate, and enlargement of the esophogus and large intestine
Amebic Dysentery is a diarrheal illness. It is a paraside of Entamoeba histolytica. It causes two forms of diarrheal illness. Both are mild illnesses, yet can last for a couple of weeks.
An example of a protists and the disease would be cryptosporidiosis. It is commonly called crypto, is cause by protists of the genus cryptosporidium. It can be spread by contaminated water or objects and in uncooked food.
One type of protist disease is Toxoplasmosis. It is caused by the protist known as toxoplasma gondii. It is spread by cats and by eating undercooked meat that contains cysts.
