I think the hardest part was making everything sterile. You have to make sure that nothing becomes contaminated. If it is contaminated then you can't use it.
The hardest part about making the agar is keeping everything clean and not talking over it. Other wise it is pretty easy. I like fire so it was fun to do that.

For me the hardest thing about making agar was sterlizing. I couldn't remember to sterilize the bottle to pour. Also lifting the lid when pouring.
