What is the difference between xylem and phloem?

Xylem has thick-walled cells taht conduct water and mineral nutrients from a plant's roots through its stems to its leaves. Phloem is made up of cells that conduct sugars and nutrients thgouthout a plant's body.

The xylem and phloem differ. The xylem is the type of tissue in vascular plants that provides upport and conducts water and nutrients from the roots. The phloem is the tissue that carries organic and inorganic nutrents in any direction, depending on the plant's needs.
