Well, smoking increases your chances for lung cancer. They say that every cigarette you smoke, you take a day off of your life. It slows down your heart and clogs your arteries.

Smoking messes up your lungs. It also speeds up your heart. It clogs and hardens arteries and makes your heart work harder because nicotine is a stimulant and you aren't getting as much oxygen in your blood as you would otherwise.

The tar and other substances clog your arteries. This can cause a heart attack, heart disease, or a stroke. It also limits your cardiovascular system from its full capacity. This causes a lack of energy and unnecessary wear and tear on the cardiovascular system.
