How do plants prevent water lose???

They have waxy coverings that prevent water loss. They are called cuticles. It is thicker on top of the leaf.

PLants can keep water very easily. They usually develope a surface cuticle to reduce water loss. That way they don't lose water.

The water is absorbed in the leaf. It develope a surface cuticle. This is very helpful because htey need water to live.
