It is when bacteria or viruses get resistant to antibiotics. When a bacteria/virus has resistance, the antibiotic has no effect on the bacteria/virus. It is bad because then if you get that antibiotic to make you better, it doesn't help you and you're still sick.

Antibiotic resistance is the ability for a microorganism to withstand the effects of antibiotics. It can result in horizontal gene transfer. Also it can result fully resistant colonies.

Antibiotic resistance is when the ability for a microorganism to with stand the effects of an antibiotic. It doesn't kill the bacteria and can't get rid of it. The microorgansims just grow over the antibiotic.

Antibiotic resistance is when a mircoorganism or bacteria is not affected by an antibiotic. It is also known as drug resistance. If the microorganism is antibiotic resistant that it still can continue to live.
